ccla...we stayed at the Seven Seas last September.Very basic rooms,air-conditioning only in the bedroom.Equipped kitchen, old stove & fridge, small microwave, nothing fancy at all but great for the price..leaves you money for meals in town. DO go to Papi's Diner..around the corner from Seven Seas.. they can tell you how to get there, you can't miss it,also a small grocery across the street from Papi's. Only drawback for us is we love to sit by the pool or in the ocean..beach access at SS's is down the ladder from the pier, and the water is great. However, the pool is small (which was OK), and enclosed on all sides by fences or other buildings, so it gets no breeze and it is HOT! We don't dive or snorkel however,we just go to veg, and we were the only people in the pool the entire week! We are going back in Sept, and want to stay where there is an oceanfront pool(the view is better also).OK walk into town, but we rented a golf cart as my husband Scott had a hip problem(just had a joint replacement)and could not do a lot of walking.Make sure you eat at Papi's...great food, good breakfast, wonderful soups, burgers, shrimp cocktails, fresh fish,a great chicken sandwich..all the food was wonderful, and Papi and his family are so neat. When we would go to eat breakfast, his children (they are such beautiful kids!)would be eating their breakfast before they went to school. You can call in an order and they will deliver to the SS's The porches at the SS's are all oceanfront and make for great sitting! Also, don't be afraid to buy the food the children bring around after school. Their mom's cook during the day and the kids sell it..great tamales, flan, meat pies, etc.Food vendors also have great food. Any other questions regarding the SS's, feel free to e-mail us directly at [email protected] Belize it!

Forgot to add...take the flight over to AC if possible..it is worth it, very short flight and I don't like small planes, but it was wonderful! Much faster, more time to spend in AC!

Mary and Scott, thank you so much for all that great information. At this late date, we have decided to stay the night in Belize City and fly into San Pedro the next day. I'm glad to hear someone else doesn't dive and just goes to AC to veg! That'll be me next week!! Papi's sounds delicious! And I look forward to buying some goodies from the children! Well, I guess I should just admit that I am looking forward to everything! Thanks to everyone for the information and advice!
Peace, Carla
