Has anyone ever traveled to the island without reservations and been able to find a decent place to stay. It seems so hard to choose where to stay in advance and thought it would be exciting to go without reservations if that is advised. Are we crazy? We like the sounds of Mata Rocks, Traidwinds, and Captain Morgan's. Any feedback on those places? Thanks!! Also, any advice on flying in from Madison, Wisconsin area?

Hi... Sounds like an adventure to me! It seems to me that there are enough places to stay (in all price ranges) that you should be able to show up and find someplace to stay. I'm sure there are people who do it all the time. If you are the type of traveller who likes the "winging it" approach it seems like AC would be the place. Keep in mind that once you get there and see the range of hotels you might change your mind either upwards or downwards depending on your expectations.
