On Sunday, the San Pedro Lions Club joined the efforts of Belizeans and the world over to raise much needed funds for the victims of Haiti who were devastated by the destruction caused by an 8.1 earthquake.

    On Sunday, Lions Club friends and members rendezvoused to the Den for a day of sales and fun. The barbecue grill was smoking, drinks were chilled and the clothes sale had been organized. Throughout the day, patrons arrived and purchased clothing items valued at $1 a piece, finger licking barbecue, spicy Reds ceviche and stuck around for games of Bingo.

    At the end of the day, the San Pedro Lions Club managed to send $5,000 to the Haiti Relief Fund.
