Ernie, it's a fact, they can not block it and can not figure a way to do so.....period!

Just been advised not to post here on new options for by-passing BTL's blocks. Figured they were out of the game of blocking and a number of options have been posted all over these boards....but anyway, hope this 'edit' to my post works.

It is a fact that there is NOTHING that BTL cannot block on their own network. They can block Skype, Vonage, MagicJack, VPNs, instant messaging, message boards... anything. The filtering technology they are using now is very sophisticated and what they block has NOTHING to do with what is written on a message board.

There is no clandestine BTL effort to search message boards for the random mentions of "vpn" or "proxy". BTL engineers have the money/tools and the smarts to pretty much do whatever they want without having to waste their time.

What they block is purely a function of the cost of the equipment/service they use and what they can get away with. If enough people complain (or downgrade or switch to satellite), then something may change. Many of you remember when they went crazy blocking all kinds of things in March 2009. Enough people complained and the blocks were relaxed - not lifted but relaxed.
