I don't know if this is the correct place to post this but here goes. I have been on your island for a week and I have a couple of observations.
First, we have traveled all over the US, Hawaii, Anguilla, Antigua, St. Kitts and Nevis and have not found people as friendly as they are her on AC. The local people are wonderful. As we drive our golf cart down the road north and in town, everyone seems to greet you. When we walk on the beach, those going to work on bicycle always give you the right of way and again greet you. Even had some offer me a ride. I hope you never lose that friendliness. It is a wonderful thing.
Second (not to put down any other tour group), Tanisha tours have been fantastic. Elodia has been so accommodating. Daniel took us up the Belize River and he is amazing. The wildlife he was able to point out was awesome. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. We have a zipline/Xunantunich tour planned with him and we know it will also be wonderful.
Third, Mandy and Jason at Mata Grande grocery (again not putting any other provisioning company down) have also been super. They provisioned the house and everything was here at the price they advertised. They even got some special items for us at a very reasonable price. Their little store has been very handy when you stay up north.
So, all in all, I think this is a wonderful place to visit. I sure hope it doesn't get over developed. The road north could be worked on but you sure don't seem to need more resorts. Seems like there are many with few people.
Thanks for listening.
