Hello all,
First off, I want to say that I have been lurking now for a little while, and I have yet to see a more friendly, informative board (on any topic!)
I am hoping you all could answer a few questions...I am getting married in May, and will be staying at Captain Morgan's. I know that it was featured on Temptation island, but besides that, and what I have seen on the website, I know little about the resort. I saw some posts here, and a few people said they would be staying thre in the near future. If anyone can tell me anything about the resort, that would be great.
Also, my fiance and I are taking a scuba course, and looking to do our open water certification while we are down there. Could someone suggest a dive-shop that would be good for beginners?
What is the most romantic restaurant in Ambergris Caye, in people's opinion? This is our honeymoon, and i want to try and make it as special as possible.
Lastly, if anyone has any suggestions or thoughts, I would love to hear them.

Thanks in Advance,
Rob

Capricorn within walking distance and Mata Chica, alongwalkor boat ridenorth of CM,both great restaurants with wonderful ambiance.

I'm partial to Amigos Del Mar for diving, but you can arrange all your diving from CM as well.

Wow, I have to admit that before I read the reply from mayatravel I was thinking the exact same places!
Amigos Del Mar is very good for diving. Very good!
My personal favorite restaurant on the island is Mambo (at Mata Chica). I always save that one for the "special" night. Capricorn is also excellent! Both very quaint with really good food. Look at the website for Mata Chica. You can get to it from the AC webpage. Do a search (on the AC webpage) if you need to.
One last thought. . .Ramon's might be a little more expensive for the diving, but they are a nice outfit and haven't heard anything negative said about their diveshop. (I never took a lesson there, but I've gone diving with them and they are good). I do know people who have gotten certified through Ramon's and liked it very much.

Good luck,

Jen K.
