This question has probably been asked many times before, but do many people there alone? I find myself single and looking forward to doing some travel. AC in particular has been on the top of my list of places. It seems to be everything I am looking for in a vacation spot.

Hey Zig, I've done it many times before by myself single and married travelling alone (kid logistics) - not a problem, there are quite a few others doing the same. Locals and tourists are all very friendly, I wouldn't hesitate and you'll meet some very good people along the way.

I would think that in-town would be better as well.

Lots of solo travelers to Belize. I usually put my solo clients at the Holiday Hotel, The Phoenix, Sunbreeze or possibly Blue Tang Inn. All on the beach but close enough to town to walk to most restaurants, shops, beach bars.

Easy laid back and friendly place. You should have no trouble traveling alone here and will leave with a few friends for sure.

Agree with al the above. I've traveled alone, with a friend and with my wife. No problems at all, any time. I do guarantee that you will not be alone for long (only if you want to be). You will meet wonderful people in a beautiful place, just stop, smile and talk!

The first place I traveled solo was to Belize when I was'll love traveling solo!! Such a great experience. Remember to use common sense, of course, when on your own.

I have traveled solo to AC twice (#3 will be later this year--solo again).

Never had any problems. I agree with above comments about use of common sense.

I have stayed @ the Spindrift and Ruby's. Planning on going back to Ruby's this year. Great place for the money ($25/night). Very basic hotel, tho'. But then, I never spend much time in my room anyway. Too busy having fun on the island & in the water.

You will meet lots of wonderful people and I guarantee you will leave with a few new friends.
