We are arriving in San Pedro on Thursday and have a question for all of you lovely people. I see there is a great deal on Maya but there are two stops along the way. Where are those stops? Also, Maya does fly right out of the International Airport, right? I don't remember seeing any Maya aircraft there before. Thank you all very much smile

It is really a matter of preference. Some people like Maya and some like Tropic. The 2 stops you mention is one of the reasons I have heard people give for choosing Tropic.

From the Airport to San Pedro on tropic.you may stop in Caye Caulker or in rare case Belize City... It just depends on the routing and loads for the day....The stops are about 5 minutes.

There is really not much difference between the 2 of them, tropic is probably more popular and keeps better time but the difference between the 2 in pricing is quite a lot right now.

The stops are nothing and you most likely wont even stop unless someone books to get off at Caye Caulker or Caye Chapel and even if you do do those stops you will be on the ground 5 minutes.

Our visit in Feb, we flew Maya for cheap and it was a special from Bze to San Pedro non-stop R/T. I think $87.00 US.

I've been on a flight or two that stopped in at Caye Caulker on the way from San Pedro to the International. Frankly, I loved the experience.

First time I ever made a stop on CC, wayyyyyyyy back when, it cracked me up that we had to buzz the strip & scare the pelicans off so we could land.

Tropic has never left me stranded. Great customer service. It may be to late but

offers a 10% discount from Tropic.

I have flown both on several different occasions, haven't had any problems with either.
kicman; never had to scare pelicans, but missed a truck that was crossing the airstrip at Placencia by about ten feet once.
