The PM mentioned a moratorium on gst in the House for tourism, and although not clear what that entails, think it means anything sold before April 1 with services scheduled for delivery after April 1st, will be subject to 10% gst. I'm not sure how they will require we determine that, I think most realistic to assume full payment or a deposit was taken before April 1 and not sure how many upcoming months that will cover, but assume til May. I assume they are formulating that now and will be announced by gst in a few days. I can't tell anyone how to proceed with gst payments for March, but I'm configuring at 12.5% and assume, if I'm right, I can apply the overpayment to next months gst payment. I believe this covers land sales with contracts signed before and where installment payments were made before April 1. But I'm only assuming.

What defines tourism? Every one of my clients is a tourist so would that mean my business falls under tourism? I've changed over to 12.5% but clients who booked for this month on our old order form are getting charged at 10% and I'm just taking the hit. I wish they would get this sorted out.
