As the sun starts to set, merchants and food vendors start to set up shop at Central Park to prepare for the evening rush as tourist stroll the streets looking for souvenirs and the hungry crowd exit the clubs looking for something to satisfy their cravings past the midnight hour.

Oh man that makes me miss San Pedro. Many a late warm evening I've stopped at that stand on the way home for a couple of her wonderful burritos. Find a seat somewhere and enjoy watching the kids playing while trying not to get the juice all over my t-shirt. Great way to end any day.

Is that a new Rubicon Jeep in the back ground?

On a previous visit there was a new Chrysler PT Cruiser on the island. How ridiculously useless is that?

Why do authorities continue to allow new cars, trucks and jeeps on the island?

Carts, small cc motorbikes and similar should be the only motorized vehicles allowed other than construction equipment by my opinion.

I apologize for this negative post on a positive thread but this REALLY gets under my skin!

Not to worry future full timers there is simply no rhyme nor reason to what is allowed and what isn't. I brought a six seat Polaris on to the island and had to send it back to the mainland because they wouldn't give permission. I am several miles North where you need an ATV if want to go overland to town in a lot of weather conditions. At the same time as I had to remove my ATV (which was kept in a garage and would have been very rarely in town) they allowed two or three of the exact same vehicles on the island that wound up in San Pedro (no garage, used everyday). I did finally bring on to the island a two seat ATV which they approved after I made 'contribution'.

And, after the suspension goes, the Volvo will probably just be parked and left to rust....

We wonder why the SPTC tore down the old fast food row, only to be replaced with a tent version of it.
