The new Ambassador of the Republic of China on Taiwan Hs Excellency David C K Wu today presented his letters of credence to Governor-General of Belize, Sir Colville Young in his Belmopan office. On presenting his Credentials, the new Ambassador told his Excellency Sir Colville Young that his main task as Ambassador is to maintain the true friendship in giving their invaluable support by continuing to promote the interests of mutual benefit and to broaden the relationship and good-will between the two countries. Ambassador David C K Wu also made a courtesy call on Prime Minister Dean Barrow. Meanwhile yesterday two ambassadors, Boudewijn Dereymaeker of Belgium and Gilda Maria Bolt Gonzales of Nicaragua, presented their letters credence to the Governor General of Belize Sir Colville Young. In his letter Ambassador Dereymaeker told the Governor General that his main task is to maintain the close cooperation and friendly assistance which currently exists between the two countries. In her letter Ambassador Gonzales also expressed her commitment to maintaining the good relations between both countries. Both ambassadors also paid courtesy calls to Prime Minister Dean Barrow and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wilfred Elrington.
