Does anyone know where I may find Science Diet, Iams or Euknaba dog food?

Try Pampered Paws. It is located on middle street (Pescador Drive) in the same building as Ambergris Today. It is on the west side of the street, within the block north of the Primary School.

Try Pampered Paws they will be able to answer for sure but to the best of my knowledge you can't get them here.

I was in there yesterday but they did not have any of these. When I needed Science Diet for my elderly cat I had to import it from the US and you need a license from BAHA to import any animal food - not a problem to get but if you don't have it in advance it could slow down the process.

I've done research to Science Diet, and found they have a sales representative for Central America. Costa Rico gets some. Unfortunately I have left tons of messages, and never gotten a call back by this guy.
The story with the other food is the typical "monopoly" game. Everything here is Purina and Pampered Paws and SanCas gets theirs from a farm store on the mainland. When I talk to them they just say that they order what they order. So its Pedigree, Beneful, Proplan, and that's it. It's even worse for cats.

Even if you do have a permit there's always the chance that your order will be held up or siezed by customs for "some" reason or another. Makes it a risky business to try and import in quantities to supply the pet market.

Hmm, sounds kind of cheezy doesn't it?

We had to feed our older cat a science diet formula sold only by vets so we would bring large bags down from time to time or have family send it to belize. never had a problem getting the bags through customs but it was not cheap and it could take a few weeks to clear.

Why is Customs here so unpredictable? I've never had goods seized (though they have vanished when in Customs' cars) but for identical goods I have been charged widely differing taxes on different occasions.

Or you could try to make your own dog food... After I found bugs in one package, I realized why he was just not eating it!

I now make treats and food for Snoops and he loves it smile

Have never tried cat food, but I am sure there are recipes on the internet...
