Anyone know where I can buy a large supply of good quality netting? Haven't been able to find anything on-line and the bits that I found so far locally have been poor quality I've been told. I've been advised to buy white as well, but what's the difference?

Thanks!!

:-) Noseeum netting is sort of an oxymoron.
Those guys wouldn't have any trouble flying through.
but you might try Caye Supply for the regular mosquito netting.

Barnacle, I've had nosee'um netting before re-doing the windows and the breeze was plenty fine.

The holes are smaller than regular mosquito netting and does work very well to keep out all flying insects.

Please let me know where you buy your netting anyone - thanks!

Have you tried Makado in Belize City?

I haven't and I have to send someone there on my behalf as I am out of the country, are they a good bet do you think? Do you have a phone number maybe and we can call first?

Thanks!

I replaced all my window screens with noseeum screen. In the States it is known as 20/20 screen (that relates to the mesh size). I got mine at a pool enclosure company in Florida.
And yes they do a better job that the regular screens sold here in Belize. I haven't found any at the local stores in SP.

In Africa we used to use a mesh screen (don't know the mesh size, but it was pretty small) that was impregnated with insecticide. Even though the tiniest insects could have got through the mesh, they didn't because of the insecticide. The insecticide had to be refreshed once a year by brushing or spraying, or after it had been badly wetted.
