Wowie. We have waves breaking through our pier. The wind was so loud last night that it was difficult to sleep. Power flickered at least three times and set off our house alarm requiring us to get up and re-set it. The boat at the pier is bucking like a rodeo horse. The waves are up in the yard. SP weather station says that recent gusts were to 41 MPH. I found the dog's dish in the neighbor's yard.
It is BEAUTIFUL ...... absolutely beautiful.

It seems the March Blow came late.
Today is 'Give the Money Back Day' at the dive shop. Lots of people are running out of time to go diving and its refund time.
I expect a couple of more days of this frustration.

Good you're giving refunds. In earlier times I knew several shops which didn't.

Wow its even stronger , the docks are suffering and a few boats in the neighborhood are broken up.
Ya hafta check on you boat often in weather like this or you will loose it.

Once I asked an experienced sailor - when do ropes stop stretching ? (I'd been re-jigging my boat for a couple of days in weather like this)
He answered - when they break.
This is one instance where more is definitely better.

Where can I get information about sailing seasons? For example do the sailing Charter Catamarans work all year round?

Is there a period of the year when no sailing is done?

I know about the hurricane season but life does not totally stop during this time.

Hope to hear from a cruising or charter sailor.

Cheers,

You can charter a cat all year long in Belize but you should take out travel insurance (well you should anytime) during hurricane season.

TMM, Moorings, Sunsail and Tradewinds all have bases in Belize.
