I saw on a site that there is a liquor store somewhere in Wisconsin that sells 1 barrel rum. Anybody know where?

Thanks
Denise

Try Woodmans (if there is one in your area--it is Janesville-based, so I am not sure if there are any in your neck of the woods). I am in Rockford and we have a Woodmans here and I can buy 1 Barrel in their liquor department.

What is 1 barrel rum? Or is this something only a Badger would understand.....

The hubby and I have worked in both Janesville and Rockford shooting the National Water Ski Championships for ESPN. We really loved the area and even got to go to the county fair one year. The area was so friendly!

One Barrel rum is Belize's national drink (or should be IMHO)

One Barrel Rum Ahhhhhhh

This fine imported rum has its roots in tropical Belize. It is very aromatic rum with lots of flavor. Some described the rum's nose as floral because of the aroma reminds of hibiscus and papaya fruit.

If tasted straight, One Barrel Rum is quite smooth without a bite to it, followed with a slight taste of molasses. The molasses flavor isn't overpowering, but nicely sitting in the background.

Such properties make One Barrel Rum well mixable not only with juices and colas. The hint of molasses seems to complete the flavor of the mixers improving the taste.

Not surprisingly this rum attracted the eye and taste buds of judges in San Francisco World Spirits competition and Cane Spirits Festival which awarded it Gold and Silver medals.

This fine rum is not only attractive for its exotic roots and smooth taste but also for its price. Gold Medal - 2007 INTERNATIONAL CANE SPIRITS FESTIVAL

It is a large mammal (member of the weasel family) with molar teeth of a crushing type adapted to a partly vegetable diet, and short strong legs with long claws suitable for digging.

It is also the state animal of Wisconsin & Bucky Badger is the official mascot of the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Well of course I know what a badger is with a small B, but thanks for the info on its status as a mascot.
This much persecuted animal has a hard time in the UK and is continually under threat of extermination by farmers due to its alledged role in the spread of bovine tuberculosis.
Is this not an issue in Wisconsin?
