Anyone know the official amount of alcohol you are allowed to bring in with you?

The 'unofficial' limit is one, two, or three bottles, depending who you talk to....!!!

Annieo..I think it basically depends on whether they search your luggage. We breezed through customs with a few routine questions, no "luggage search". I guess you could take as many bottles as you wanted if you packed them well(wrapped in bubble packing and/or tee-shirts,zip-lock bags, etc.). Have a great time, regardless!

I think that legally each passenger can bring 1 litre into the country duty free. After that you can bring in more, but you have to pay a duty tax on it. However, this is just my guess based on travel info. into other countries. But it seems to be similar in most countries.

Many of the websites, esp. the hotel / resort web pages have a FAQs or 'general info' , 'what you need to know' link that should have this info. posted.
