So has anyone else already inquired about this and received a more thorough answer:
Our current BEL bills (and presumably all current BEL bills) are for the billing-service dates of March 13th 2010 - April 13th 2010. The GST rate charged on the ENTIRE bill is 12.5%, even though 1/2 of the service period was for dates PRIOR to the GST increase. When our office questioned BEL, we were told that BEL "is going to issue credits on the next bill." This seems a bit ass backwards approach (IE, typical and to be expected.) They are going to issue credits to the entire country???
-if I do the math myself and short pay, no doubt our service would be disconnected, thus depriving us of enjoying the dim mood lighting courtesy of the frequent brown outs as of late (on that note, thanks for the $5,000 worth of damage to our freezers and refrigerators BEL!!!)
Again, curious as to what others have been told...
