Hi all,
I'm looking into a TACA flight from LAX in November. There are two flights available; one with a stopover in San Salvador and one with a stopover in Guatemala City. The layover in each is about 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
Has anyone taken these flights? I'm wondering about customs hassles and the like. Any problems/suggestions about one or the other? Which do people prefer?
THANKS!

Hi Red! We took TACA last September from LAX through San Salvador to Roatan and than to Belize. Everything was just perfect. The airport in San Salvador is modern, very clean with even some fun shops. Everyone was very nice and service was good. We have tickets for TACA for our trip in June. The only thing I hear is that they sometimes delay your suitcases. We had no problem. We checked in 1 suitcase which they labeld with an express tag and carried on 2 Back Packs. Will do the same this trip. Don't worry. They are a good airline and maybe even upgrade you to first class.
