Is it a tree or a bush. The tree that has flowers like this is the flamboyant tree. There are a number of other names for the tree. But I don't know the name of the bush.
Were the seeds in a large pod - about a foot long? Or were the pods only about 4 inches long?

Pride of Barbados it is then, Looks pretty good here in Belize also. Yes I saw some that are totally yellow! Thanks. I planted 5 or six more that are off to a good start. They grow fast.
It looks more like the small tree/shrub that grows wild along the cart path north of the bridge. I have a beautiful one at the entrance to Birdland. I found it on the internet some time ago called CAESALPINIA PULCHERRIMA Dwarf Poinciana here's a web site that shows pictures
