Hi
It has been about 10 years since I have been back to Ambergris Caye and I hear it has changed tremendously. I got engaged during a wonderful dinner at Capricorn in 1997 and got married 1 year later. Is the little Catholic Chapel still at the end of the runway? That was where we got married and it was perfect. Oh how I miss the island.

Do you mean the little chapel in San Pablo (only a few hundred feet from the airstrip?) If so it is there but a little rundown at this point.

It is getting a new lease on life now that it is being utilized as a community meeting area for the neigbhourhood watch.

Yes, I wanted to say it was called San Pablo's Chapel, but I was afraid I was wrong. Last time I saw it was after one of the hurricanes and the stained glass window was blown out and on the front porch in a million pieces. (It broke my heart) It was the perfect place for our wedding. We did a bit of clean up before we could have the wedding, but we left it clean as a whistle. Even the airplanes flying over head during the ceremony added to the charm!
