I currently attended the town meeting where Sea Trek had proposed a site at Mexico Rocks. What are your thoughts on this and how it will affect the local marine life? I can't imagine numerous people walking over the seabed just feet from coral formations can be healthy for the ecosystem...
Also, as none of the speakers mentioned their crew fanning off coral at the end of the day, I am concerned about potential sediment loading on the coral structures, which is dangerous and detrimental to the health of the coral.
Just curious what other people think, because the are is already in a state of decline and I am not sure that allowing people to walk around on the bottom so close to coral is a good idea for the location.
Thanks for any input.
