The Belize Diabetes Association has received a donation of 40 boxes of strips for diabetes monitors from Belize International Diabetes Support Inc, in Florida.
The strips are to be used as diagnostic tools along with the diabetes monitors shipped to Belize earlier.
The ten cases of cases of diabetes monitors were donated to the Belize Diabetes Association in May. The organization on Miami held several fund- raising events to be able to send the strips.
The strips were delivered to Magistrate Sharon Fraser, Vice President of the Belize Diabetes Association by Mr. Cecil Ford on Monday, July 5. The strips and monitors are to be given free to diabetics who are in need.
