Hi All - First post to the site, but I've been reading periodically over last 6 months. Husband & I are visiting Mata Rocks, 5/18. He is avid diver in any conditions; however, I prefer calm seas. Can anyone speak to the current conditions or indicate "easy" dives?
Thanks! Alisa

Alisa..I just got back and this is where I suggest you dive:
DO the blue hole dive...once in a lifetime trip..do the overnight...unless you are pressed for time..the day trip is hard on your body as your in a fast boat for the entire time your not diveing...

As far as current..I only had 1 dive where there was current...that was the HOL CHAN dive...but you only deal with it for about 4 min MAX. Don't Miss the chance to dive there!!! IT'S GREAT!!!!!
Victoria Canyon/Tunnels...a must do set of 2 dives!!!!
Snorkel Shark ray City...MUST DO!@!!!
Go to see George at Coral Reef divers...Tell him Mark sent you...if you do the same dives I did you will be blissed out!!!

Life May Be a Beach...I prefer Reefs...

You will love Hol Chan- very calm there, but only 30 feet or so... and there are incredible sights to behold at Hol Chan and just outside the reef.

Even snorkeling the blue hole is a great treat.
