Hi. In 2002 I became a legal resident of Belize. I spent 4 years in the country and left in 2005. Since then I haven’t been in Belize. Does anyone know if my residency card is still valid and if I may enter the country without visa and have the same legal status? Thanks a lot
I don't think the card/residency has an expiration date and I can't imagine you would have any problems using it but then again, I don't work for the immigration department.
Permanent residency is "permanent". If you have a residency card it's not going to expire unless something changes drastically in the future with laws etc .... but I doubt that is a worry. Come home to Belize!
I believe immigration is no longer issuing cards but rather the status is stamped into your passport. I know of a handful of people's who were made to relinquish their cards and have the status stamped in their passports.
Thanks for your help. That sounds good. For some reason can't get through with the immigration department. And they can't be botherd to answer my email)))).
