I'm very much aware of the changes made to the regulations regarding septic tank usuage in new resort construction about two years ago that required they replace the usage of septic tanks with Aerobic Treatment Units (ATU). I am unclear if that restriction was also carried to new single family residential construction on the north side.

They will say 'yes' everyone does, this is a new ruling, last year they where saying 'Not if your single family dwelling' but why don't you just call the number and hear it from them.

Remember San Padro has different regs than Caye Caulker. One is a town the other a village.

He posted under ambergris caye i assumed he meant Ambergris Caye.
But your correct caulker could be totally different.

Although there is an increase in cost for the Aerobic system it is worth spending the money. Don't bother asking just do what you can to protect the environment that you are here to enjoy.
