OK -- You guys are my last resort! You know those colorful blankets that the vendors sell in every store, on every corner, every street, and every beach in Mexico? Well, I want some!! I bought one the last time I was in Cabo, and I can't believe how much I love it. It is cozy, and washes like a dream. I want to get several colorful ones for our home on AC, but I can't find them *anywhere*. (I couldn't get away from them in Mexico! They were everywhere!) I've seached the net, but I guess I'm not looking in the right place.
Does anyone know of a source??? Wish I know someone who was going to Mexico soon!
Thanks for any help you can give!
Kathy

I'm would like to know as well. I bought 2 Mexican blankets years ago, and they still are in great condition. They seem to last forever, still very soft and comfortable! Susan

If only you had posted your message two days ago...I just got back from Mexico. We usually go every couple of months and spend the weekend...love those bargains. You can probably find them on the internet if you keep looking, but you will pay a lot more that "Mexico" prices as they become "imported". I can get queen size for $8.00, and the throws are 3 for $5.00. If you can wait, I would be happy to pick some up for you. But it will be a couple of months.

Well Darn! Wish I'd asked sooner, too! Last night I did a search from www.google.com which turned up lots more results than any other I've tried. Found lots of blankets, and I think *maybe* the kind I want (BRIGHT colors, not dark, and the "diamond" pattern), and some places don't even let you choose colors... but I really like to see/feel them first... oh well. It seems like $15-30 is the going price. Thanks! Kathy

Dependent upon where you live. I have seen these blankets even in Walmart. Also if your town has a little mexican grocery store a lot of times they have the blankets there

KC Lots of San Pedranos go to Chetumal and Merida, especially for shopping. Maybe some one you know could pick up your blankets for you!

All this blanket talk reminds me. on one of our Cozumel trips 3 years ago there was a blanket shop on a north side beach that sold the colorful blankets for US$3!!! What a deal that was.
