Hi,
My wife and I are leaving for Belize in two weeks. We will be spending 3 nights on AC. Obviously there are a lot of places to choose from, but we are looking for a place that is quiet at night because we are light sleepers (so we wouldn't want a place with thin walls, near a loud club, etc.)
We would, however, like to be within walking distance of town (although it looks like most places are within walking distance). One place we were looking at was the Sunbreeze.
Any other suggestions? Thanks.

You should try Seven Seas. It is at the end of town almost, but most definitly close enough to town. It is a nice quiet hotel with all the comforts of an island home. The price is right, the staff is wonderful, and the view from your rooms beautiful. Try their website and see what you think. WWW.Sevenseasresort.com I think you would be very happy there. I stayed there for 8 days and loved it. Punta Rebel Girl

Sometimes the Sunbreeze has Live Music at night, if you go to bed early it might be too loud for you. You could probably find out if they are having a band when you are there.

I have stayed at Sunbreeze, and even with live music playing in the bar, you can not hear it in your room with the door and windows closed and air conditioner running.

Try the Palms. It might be tight timing, but it's within walking distance to town and very quiet. We loved it.

Berferd...yes,yes,yes to Seven Seas..stayed there last year. PRG's are correct..very quiet, with wonderful front porches for sitting out at night looking at the ocean that is just a short walk from your front door. You can't beat it!

We checked out virtually every hotel near town and found the Belize Yacht Club to have the most tranquil, clean, and private units. Prices go from $130-$180 with discounts for walk-ins, which would be probable. Few guests, no "scene" but the best scenery with a beautiful dock full of large boats and an excellent dive shop. The European owners are very sweet and their attention to detail was most appreciated. The patio restaurant isn't beachside but comfortable, and the cooking is excellent. If you're only on AC for 3 days, don't cheap it if you don't have to. Lots of places charge way too much for so-so amenities. And tip big--it's our duty to pump up the earnings per year. The Belizeans are the nicest people I've ever encountered.
