I wonder how that study explains a Liberal who has been mugged and then becomes a Conservative? Maybe during the dramatic incident a chemical is released and it changes the brain? Just wondering laugh See if you can find the answer to that in another brilliant study.

By the way, I know this study wasn't done in the USA but was it done with Stimulus cash? crazy So much to ponder and so little time.

I guess if you are eluding to the fact that many normal thinking Americans are somewhat fearful the country is being run into the ground by liberals with their heads up their a$$es, you may have stumbled onto the truth for once smile

How many of you normal thinking Americans are there......4 or 6?

"The latest CNN poll also asked voters whether they hoped President Obama's policies would succeed or fail. Overall, 61 percent said they hoped his policies would succeed; 27 percent admitted they hoped his policies failed."

Right.....

"But that's just liberal CNN, right? Well, not quite. It turns out that CNN also asked that question after the 1994 takeover of the House by Newt Gingrich and the Republicans. In that poll, 50 percent of Americans said the GOP takeover would be good for the country, while just 26 percent said it would be bad."

That you would cite a poll that gives Mandella and The Dali Lama 3% between them as evidence of how well informed the CNN audience is has me smiling just a little smile

Do I want his education policies to succeed?

Yes, if it means underserved communities can graduate functional members of society...

No, if it means pouring more good money after bad into failing school districts with no sign of a different approach to education?

Polls don't mean much unless you ask the same question several differing ways......

Do I wish the country well....you betcha....

Do I want socialism and more central control.... NO!

What has me smiling is the fact that you're referencing the Gallup poll and not the CNN poll. wink

If you go to the bottom of the page and click on the "methodology" link you would see that the pollsters asked the polled the question...and they chose their own answers. Some chose relatives or friends. So much for your attempt to defame the poll.

As far as the fact that they selected GW Bush over the Dali over 2 to one only shows that they polled folks with your political bent too wink

Yeah ..ya got me....

Just because I read "A CNN Poll" and then clicked on your link.... I should know better and read ALL the fineprint when dealing with a true believer wink

What the Poll did seem to show is that whoever was the current US President would automatically win out, and I suggest that shows a lack of ability to distinguish achievement from popularity by many polled regardless of political affiliation.

Of course, this was only for "living" people, or there would be some other great names to consider.... Gandhi, Mother Teressa, Churchill...all of whom would probably have finished behind the great Jimmy Carter if the poll had been taken in 1978!
