If you move to Belize and you want to maintain an address in the U.S. please choose a state with no income taxes to find a remail company to set you up with a remail address for your address home in the states. It is the only wise course of action.

I, of course, am stuck in the states and will not be moving anytime soon. I would like to, but I can not.

This would be only to get the target off ones back while at the same time the person obeys the laws of the U.S. and of Belize? Remember, the U.S. is out of control now and to get the target off one's back at the same time that person obeys the laws is a doubly safe strategy.

???What do you mean "out of control"??? You state as facts what are falsehoods. Tax rates for corps are at the lowest point since 1929. Tax rates for individuals, especially the upper incomes, are at almost all time lows. Low tax revenue due to well lobbied loopholes for the well connected has caused the fiscal shortfalls and to blame deficit problems on the social safety net is nothing but either ignorance, cynicism or something darker. The repubs have systematically underfunded government which has caused the piling up of debt with the conscious goal of then claiming the need to defund the new deal. They preferred of the old deal also known as Social Darwinism . The survival of the most privileged; we have ours so **** you. Forgetting what it means to have a civil society. Assertion is not the same as actuality, regardless of the right wing disinformation machine.
Your post clearly reveals you are wanting to be able to completely avoid monetary support for your country. Claims of big government overspending on a just society are merely a ruse to satisfy the greed of those among us who want to opt out of doing their share to support a civil society. You probably feel no shame, either. I remember when your type of thinking started to gain the ascendency. Governor Ronald Reagan emptied and closed Californias state funded homes for the destitute mentally ill. Suddenly our streets and doorways were filled with sick homeless people. The "Reagan Revolution" had begun! I wonder how far our country will go down that road before we have a social revolution of the left and middle. The U.S. citizenry was really flirting with Socialism in the great depression because of a "take no prisoners" type of capitalism. If not for the New Deal the greed of the political right might have ushered in their proclaimed biggest nightmare; a European form of social democracy. As it was FDR saved his social class and the capitalists from themselves by crafting a more equitable "New Deal" for the broader citizenry. I wonder if anyone will appear who can save us all from the excesses of the radical right greed and intolerance agenda this time around? bob s

Dang Bob, how do you really feel? Avoiding taxes is perfectly legal and there are more than a few ways to do it. Tax evasion is another story.

What Otto Gear is proposing could be construed as tax evasion depending on how he paid his taxes. If he paid all he was legally required to pay, the address he uses is pretty much immaterial. Given the vagaries of mail system in Belize and the chance of an audit, I'd opt for a local (to his tax home) address.

Uh, I guess I went on a rant didn't I. The sentiment in the statement: "Remember, the U.S. is out of control now" when it comes to taxes and spending and implying that they are too high is so, to me , ridiculous. To me it is part of an ideological approach that is detrimental to the vast majority of the country's citizens and to its ideals. It is mean, which is not at all to endorse the opposite; prolificate spending. I kinda wish I had ignored it now. bob s blush

Repugnant left wing rubbish posing as truth. You and Obama and the rest of your ilk have it now so that nearly one half of the household pay no income tax. What is fair about that?

Rubbish right back at you.
It's fair because bottom half owns practically no wealth and are in the zero to barely enough to survive income bracket.

Here on the other hand is how Obama measures up against the earlier presidents when it comes to taxing those who own everything and everybody.
