We are leaving on 1 June for 7 beautiful nights in San Pedro. I have gathered lots of information from this site. Thank you!

Can you tell me if there are any snakes on San Pedro, as I have a huge dislike for them. I would prefer to expect them, if they are going to be there.

Cheers!

I am not sure, but fortunately, I didn't see any. Not like Tahiti, when I was swimming and one of those water snakes was cruising by!

Snakes are few and far between on Ambergris Caye. In 7 years I've seen one... a very small green garden snake. And I've never heard any stories of snake problems here. Much better than the rattlers of California!

Snakes are plentyful here on Ambergris however unless you are out looking for them you are unlikely to encounter any.

If you doubt this just ask the guys who clear lots of land they see lots of snakes

There are Boa Constrictors that are very easy to find also Racers which are extrmely fast, there are garter snakes also, but based on my knowledge there are no poisonous snakes here on Ambergris.

Don't worry about Snakes you most likely will not see any but if you decide you would like to see some give me a call :-)

Have a great trip

The weather was great the whole time. About 85 and sunny during the day, 70 at night. Didnt feel quite as hot though due to the strong winds. It rained a bit the morning we were leaving.

I'll be back as soon as I can!

I got to pet an iguana today.... Never thought I would do it!!!! I went to the pool for my water aerobics class, and a teenaged girl was there with her pet iguana. I've seen them many times in Belize, Mexico, and St. Maarten, but never touched one. He actually seemed to like it. He wasn't slimey and was a lovey green color. It was actually quite fun. Almost 42 and still having new experiences.... Life is good.
