The Belize City bus terminal (also known as Novelo's) is about 1.5 km from where you come ashore. It is an easy walk on sidewalks (mostly) along city streets, or you could get a taxi for BZ$5 or $6 per taxi, not per passenger (8 people will need 2 taxis).

I have a map on my BelizeBus site showing the location of the bus terminal.

English is spoken here.

Buses & taxis and just about everybody will accept US$.
