Why do we call them early champions? These were some of the early people who put their faith and confidence in San Pedro and joined hands in making it a success. The journey to take San Pedro High to where it is today was not a bed of roses. There were sacrifices, effort, trials and tribulations. In this flashback there was a meeting to plan for a fund raising bazaar or fair as we call them in Belize. Mr. Al Felly was the main benefactor and provider of all the prizes for the bazaar, but while waiting for the meeting to commence, Al Felly was teaching the kids is favorite song, "America the Beautiful". He always felt that Belize was part of The Americas.

Let us leave you with some names for you to hunt in this lovely flashback of San Pedro High. Loiny, Magdalena Badillo, Fe Trejo, Alma Stains, Adelita Paz, Charlie Leslie, Jeanine Krueger, Daly Guerrero, Roby Guerrero, Claudio Azueta, and Mayor Paz. Among the parents are Anita Eiley, Nena Squires, Pete Salazar, Norman Eiley and Teacher Ilda Guerrero. The venue, of course, is the Island community Centre, now the Town Council Building.
