The San Pedro Sun ran a story about a local restaurant that was caught selling undersized lobster for the second time. They did not name the establishment for some odd reason, I for one would like to know which establishment it was so I could refrain from giving them my buisness. This is the second offense since feb, maybe they should be fined more then the paltry sum that was mentioned.

AND what an odd regulation - permit to sell in off season. I guarantee there is some hanky panky going on. Strange that no name was mentioned. It will make it look even worse when the truth finally comes out. Of course rumors could abound and put a bad light on innocent establishements (are there any?)

Lobsters served off season at some restaurants with permits were caught in season, but have to be legal size. Get em!

the entire "Lobster Project" as sponsored by the BHA is ridiculous... it's a lose/lose/lose situation for tourists/restaurants/the environment.

If restaurants DO abide by the rules as set forth, they would either need to charge a ridiculous amount for any lobster dishes (as the cost for the lobster is $30-$40BZE a lb) or basically sell it at cost.

Fisheries admits it does not have the resources to adequately police the program.

Most restaurants just get a permit for a token amount and then buy lobster illegally fished.

"Out of season" should mean "Out of season."
