My husband and I will be in AC for a week in mid July. We want a place on the beach, nice, will pay up to $200 day for something super. Mata Chica and Capt. Morgans were suggested if we got the perfect room. Someone also said that Sunbreeze was great if you get the right room, also - with the benefit of being so close to town. Is it hard to get to town from Mata Chica or Capt. Morgans? Help! I want this to be a fun and romantic get-away! Thanks!

I am opening a brand new luxury resort on June 28th all units are located right on the beach and we are 2 minutes walk from Mata chica. its called Playa Blanca Beach Resort

It is easy to get to town via the island ferry plus we run into town several times a day and worse case scenario we will run a demand taxi service.

All our condos are HUGE 1400 sq ft all fully equipped including full kitchens a/c satellite tv, huge patio area looking out onto the beach and only 10 steps to the water, beach palapas to hang in the Hammock a beach bar for that margarita.

We have a full service dive and tour desk onsite and offer all tours and diving options.

e-mail me at if its something you might like to find out more.

best regards

Gaz Cooper (under construction)

RobM - your trip report was super informative. I plan on contacting a couple of the people you mentioned for tours and such. I think we have decided to stay in town while in AC. Several people have encouraged that in order to be able to walk to town and enjoy the local flavor more.

Thanks for your help!! . . . judy
