Hey All! I was wondering about where the road floods/washes out North of the bridge during the rainy season, and approximately when the season actually is? confused

Karaoke, we are currently experiencing a drought and have had no real good rain since the opening of the road to traffic earlier this year.
So in about a week when the rainy season starts we will know what the road will be like.
Some parts, North of Journeys End, will undoubtedly be in the lagoon without some major improvements.

On the Island we do not have massive rain like on the mainland. The Island is surrounded by water which radiates heat up in the air preventing such rains in the "rainy season". Usually rainstorms are over well within an hour, and it will mainly rain at night.

The road up to Portofino is built higher than the lagoon, about half a mile past us it does flood. Contrary to the weather reports on weather.com (for Belize City) the island is dry and we are actually praying for some rain for our vegetation.

With some notable exceptions, Jan. Three years ago my house was completely surrounded by water a foot deep for over a week.

This afternoon at the Catholic church there was a service followed by a procession through the streets praying that we wouldn't have a hurricane this year (or so I was told). A tricky one - "please may we have lots of rain, but not too much and without strong winds".
