How rainy is your rainy season? Does it rain day and night all day and all night? Or heavy rains for a few hours each day and then the sun comes out? Please fill me in.

Ok, all of the above. Every storm is different. Just like home.
Don't not go to Belize in the rainy season thinking it will be all bad, its not. Its still hot out.

I remember a trip to Placencia that rained most of the time but we still had loads of fun.

oh the rain won't keep me away. I loved CC. I can't wait to go back. I was just curious. I'm not made of sugar (even though I'm sweet) so I won't melt! ;-)

The rainy season just means we have some rains its not like Asia where it rains nonstop and creates mud and yuck.
Here, usually, it rains a few min.'s and then the sun comes back out and you can't tell it rained.
nothing to change your travel plans over unless you melt when you get wet!

Calling it a road is flattering it ,I know.
The only people really interested in the road right now are renting golf carts and that puts a twist on their ah ...opinion.

We spent a week on Ambergris Caye last year late Aug/early Sept. It only rained during daylight hours for about an hour the entire week! Contrast that to the two weeks we spent there in May where it rained 11" in one day...not sure about this rainy/dry season thing. laugh

It rains much less in the north of Belize than in the south, and less on the Cayes than on the mainland. What we experienced was that most of the rain came through at night. I wouldn't let rainy season stop you from visiting Belize, at least the northern part.
