I'm curious about this resort itself and also wondering if it is in good shape after last years hurricanes.

We stayed at Exotic Caye (aka Playador) in February and recently visited again. We stayed in a one-bedroom. It is small, and basic, but great for Ambergris Caye. The bedroom has an AC, TV is in living room Kitchen is very small, but who wants to cook? The grounds are nice, but tend to be loud with some new construction. The bar there (Crazy Canucks) is a great little beach bar. We like snorkeling with Oliver and Jovanni at Tuff Enuff (at Exotic Caye). Also, take a picture of the beached boat just to the left of the pier, it is the boat from Cocoon-the Movie. I think you would be pleased with your selection. Note: no restaurant on site, but Carmen's kitchen is right across the street, Jade Garden is very close, and downtown is only a hop, skip and jump away. Enjoy, and have a Mango Tango for me... tell Don and Carol that Vicki says Hi Yall!
