We are going to AC(1st timers)July 4-12 and staying at Caribe Island. We are newly weds that love to dive. We are looking for some OK dive sites close to AC. We do plan on making the trip to Blue Hole & Turneffe. Hubby interested in fishing the flats. Doesn't fly fish but bringing spin cast. What kind of baits/extras should he bring. Which guide should we use for our cave tubing trip? Thanks for the thermal mug tip, didn't think of that one.

Hey Dixie - sorry, don't have any answers for you. We're going down at the end of August for my first trip (DH's 2nd). But seeing as you're from NRH and we're in Dallas, wanted to say hey! Post your thoughts on the trip when you get back so we know what to expect, would you? Thanks ever so. [Linked Image]

hey ya'll Rick And I are right inbetween you...Bedford! We,ve been going to AC every 6 months since 98...our guy we use to go fishing/snorkeling is named Hilly Boo! He will fix you up w/bait and all. He does all kind of fishing...# is 0149515 or 3272..tell him we sent ya. Seems the fish are getting smaller due to ALOT of fishing for many years...his real name is Gilbert, but AC knows him as Hilly Boo....he is a native. C

Hey Dixie. I'm also going down for my 1st time July 1-7. I looked into some good dive spots (Blue Hole, Hol Chan, Shark/Ray alley) there are links off this site to find others; as well as dive masters. Gaz Cooper is a frequent visitor to this board and he sent me a quick note on costs. Seems like a great guy and I'm gonna go with him. I'm also looking into fishing spots. Will probably just go with whatever I find when I get there. Doesn't seem like too big a difference. Hit the flats for bonefish is what I hear. Also, look at the link for General Posts about Belize on the message board because we're planning a 4th of July party @ Fido's. All are welcome. Most of us will be meeting for the first time. Hope to see ya there!
