The San Pedro Fire department received an early morning call Monday, July 25, 2011, about a fire at the San Pedro Roman Catholic Primary School compound. Upon arriving at the school at 4:30a.m., they encountered the school’s palapa engulfed in flames.

Quick response from the Fire Department prevented the entire palapa from completely burning down and secured the safety of two nearby buildings. The palapa is located behind the main school building in the backyard.

Looks as if a lot of time was wasted trying to get thru the gate.

Reality is only an illusion that occurs due to a lack of alcohol

I would think they would have parked over by the BTB office, closer to the palapa.....

What a shame. A lot of people worked real hard to raise the money to provide that lovely shady area for kids to hang out and eat at.

Thank goodness nobody was hurt.

Now, how to rebuild.....

Need to find out how/why the fire started too.
