We did it!! Some started at 6 am, some at 8 ...... as many as 45 people worked to clean trash from road side, lots and beach from the Bridge to behind Capricorn. The community spirit was incredible - the results were/are fabulous. Three big truckloads of trash came out of the area, and one big pit full of debris was buried. With many hands working, the project went swiftly and by 11 AM we were at the Palapa bar ready for bar-b-q lunch and soft drinks.

Volunteers were young and old, longtime residents, new residents, the Green Team from the BTB, Town Board Members, resort employees ....... one neighbor sent heavenly chocolate cupcakes ..... it was exciting, satisfying and fun and it shows what a united spirit can accomplish.

Next week we'll be doing it again - the area from Capricorn heading north until Journey's End. Details on where to meet up, how to participate will follow.

Will download some photos a little later and ask Marty to post them.

Cheers!!

That's great news. I hope that the area can keep up the momentum.
