All the forecasts I can find for Belize City say isolated thunderstorms Sunday through Thursday of this coming week. How much will that hold true for AC? we're from Houston so we are used to the summer afternoon thundershower that might rain on your house, but not the neighbors... is that what we should expect or is there some more serious weather systems over central america right now? Should I pack more reading material??? Order more Belikins??? :-)

No worries, Jill. I remember seeing the same thing in the forcast for the week of my visit in March/April. Others on this board were so quick to put my mind at ease! For one thing, I was told that the weather out on the Cayes is very different than the mainland and that abundant sunshine is typically the norm. I do hope the weather is wonderful on your trip. If you should have a few rainy days, it seems that others found plenty to do on thier rainy days back a few weeks ago.

Have a fun time! Yes, bring lotsa reading material for those days when you are chillin' in the sun on a beach chair.
