Anyone know what's up with all the US Marines in Belize... 'came through the Intl airport yesterday and three V-22 Osprey's along with two large transport planes landed and troops/crew got out...

Those V-22's are pretty darn amazing...

Yes! There was a Press Release about this...they are here to show the flag and do some training with the BDF...a very good move. I hope they will be on call if the Guats misbehave...

Training ops. Logistical support and low level exercises from the 2nd Marine Air Wing out of North Carolina and as SP implies probably some message sending...

Don't misunderstand me, Jarhead is an endearment ,I have a lot of respect for the United States Marine Corps.

A V-22 Osprey would have been very cool to see one landing. I've seen one on static display only recently.

As for the comment about Ernie being a "Jar Head" (a proud Marine he is) - That term isn't offending by any means - but maybe the "old" part is. smile Just in jest E.

The Marines that I have met over the years are unflapable - never question their allegiance.
