What rate do most of you people tip for the taxi's? 10%, 15%, 20% or a couple of $$$'s? Banana Beach hotel said they will pay for the taxi from the airport. How about that! I really love this place and I haven't been there yet. Thanks to you all who answer my silly questions. Do most hotels rent bicycles or are there stands that offer them for rent around the Banana Beach hotel area? I'm not sure if we want to rent a cart for the 2 weeks that we are there.

Every country has its own customs and practices. One in Belize is that you don't tip taxi drivers.

Yeah, they're not expecting any tips, but greatly apprecite even just a dollar. Exchange is 2 to 1 right now. So if you pay in US you're doubbling their $.
