I'll start. I keep two lists in the back of my Birds of Belize book. 1. Returning birds 2. First time here.
Last night the Great Horned Owl was hooting from the lot north east of me. The locals will say "Christmas is coming."
Two days ago what looked like an American Redstart only instead of red she was flashing yellow. In the book it noted that the females are yellow. There is no picture so if I had not had the male here last year (and some good pictures of him too) I would not have been able to identify her.
I don't know how to post a picture here so will post one of each of the above on the photo thread.

Last year the pair of Osprey moved. I have not seen any Osprey nest here in Tres Cocos since then. Before the owls residents were known to knock down the Osprey nests on thier property because of the mess. People down the road built a stand over the sea to eliminate the problem.
