Hi Everyone, The 4 of us will be coming to San Pedro next week. Who do you guys recomend for Snorkeling Trips? I have read that Lil Alfonse is really good.Any Feedback would be appreciated. Also, what is the cost of a half day trip if we have our own gear???

Our family (4) are making our first trip to AC next week too. Here's a list in no particular order that I created doing searches on this forum in preparation for my trip:

1. Hill Gonzales (at Chuck & Robbie's dock)
2. Grumpy & Happy
3. Lil' Alphonse
4. Searious Adventures
5. Elbert at White Sands Dive Shop

Prices vary widely, depending on whether you want 1/2-day or full-day, and shared or private charter. I'm budgeting $40-50 per person + park fees + $10 pp for equipment rental. I plan to negotiate best deal in person after I get there. Good luck. Maybe we'll wind up sharing a boat!

Thanks, I have no problem sharing a boat. I think my son used Searious Adventures when he was there in August. Where are you staying???? How old are your kids???

Spoke with Grumpy & Happy today and they are on holiday and won't be available next week. My family is grown - Daughter & Son-in-law are serving in the Peace Corps and we're meeting in Belize. The four of us are staying in a vacation rental home near the Mata Chica resort, about 5 miles North of town.

Unique Divev Adventures -

or

Oliver's (not sure on a link for him)

Just went on a trip with both of them last week and they were both phenomenal! You cannot go wrong with either one.

another option is Blue Tang Inn's "Sirena Azul" trip to Hol Chan. The Sirena was built on the old sailing vessels used for fishing along the coast. She's roomy and replete with "plumbing" for your comfort. Great crew and reasonably priced as well. Leisurely and relaxing when not in the water.
