Is it possible to do it in a day? I am staying in AC for a week, but I'd really like to visit the zoo -- does anyone know if that's possible by boat? Iíd like to take a boat to Belize City and then travel to the zoo, but I don't really want to stay in Belize City for a night as I hear itís a bit dangerous. Any ideas anyone? Thanks all. Best, Riley

Hi Riley,
It is no problem to do the zoo from Ambergris. You can take one of the boats in and then hire someone to take you to the zoo. I recommend going with a guide because you will learn alot more and they know how to bring the animals out so you can see more of them. Check with George Flowers, he is a great guide in Belize City. Also, I don't consider Belize City dangerous. I lived there for several years, and it is no more dangerous than any city, I felt much safer there than when I lived in Dallas. Some nice places are Ft. Street Guest House, Colton House, Biltmore Plaza Hotel. Plus, you don't have to stay in Belize City, you could spend a few nights in one of the jungle lodges and really experience the wildlife and jungle beauty. There are many to choose from. I like Banana Bank,
