Fire Officials in San Pedro Town are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire that occurred late in the night of Tuesday December 20th. The fire partially destroyed the thatch roof of Robin’s Kitchen situated at the western end of Coconut Drive opposite Royal Palms Resort.

Ouch! I hope he can get it back to normal sooner, rather than later. John cooks up some fantastic chicken, at a very reasonable price.

He's had some real challenges lately and he's such a lovely man. This sucks.

Only the thatch is damaged so we should still be able to enjoy some great jerk chicken there. John was cleaning up the mess this morning.

He did say there is quite a bit of water damage done to the equipment. We will need to get a fundraiser in the works. John and his family are such good people.

Oh that is rough. I hope it is all cleaned up and fixed easily.

Really hated to see this happened. John is one of the nicest people I have met on the Island~ It warms my heart to see so many feel the same way

FIRE IN SAN PEDRO PARTIALLY DESTROYS BUILDING

The late Tuesday night blaze partially consumed the thatch roof of Robin’s Kitchen, a popular San Pedro eatery on Coconut Drive. An eyewitness says that the fire started at the back of the establishment sometime after eleven o’clock last night. One passerby, Luis Romero told Love News that he and another person were first to battle the flames and kept it from spreading to the rest of the structure. While the thatch roof of Robin’s Kitchen was scorched, owner John Harvey told Love News that he believes it was arson. Fire officials have yet to release a report on the incident and in investigation to determine the cause of the blaze is underway. Harvey puts the preliminary damage estimate to his business establishment at around three thousand dollars.
