On Ambergris Caye.
These guys peck holes to get the sap and then eat the bugs attracted to the sap as well. The rows of holes pattern is a way of identifying their presence.
kinda rare , sorry about the photo quality its just the best I have right now.

You're apologizing about photo quality?! That is a gorgeous, clear shot. Wish we could get bird photos like that!

Didn't know there were Sapsuckers down here. We used to see them semi-frequently in North Carolina. Will keep my eyes peeled.
