Did you know that the island has had a Mosque for over a year now? Maybe because it's located in the San Pedrito Area, Ambergris Today (like many) was not even aware of the Al Akramine Mosque. Today, we have a strong Muslim presence on the island that is growing along with the community of San Pedro. Just a couple weeks ago, a group of Muslim men arrived on the island dressed in their traditional clothes, causing heads to turn and people to stare. The Muslims we see on a regular basis look a lot different. The group was traveling around the world and was hosted by the Muslim community on the island.

YES - WE ARE VERY LUCKY
The absence of biogtry here is enviable!
If YOU - any one of you - are to be at home here we must let anyone feel at home and safe here.
If you can't swallow your fears then this is not the place for you.

Religious diversity is always a good thing as humans can always learn from each others.

We should not forget, only Maya where the real Belizeans. All other nations are immigrants including Africans, Americans, Chinese, Europeans, Indians and Arabs brought the culture and religion to Belize and made it to this lovely place today.

Some think the best here is the tropical paradise, but it's the people.

Um, in case you who don't "approve", take notice that citizenry of Muslim faith have been living in and contributing to the beautiful country of Belize for a very long time. Get over your tight undershorts, or whatever it is that's pinching your brain. I love Belize for so many reasons, one of which is the thriving diversity among the people of this country.
