We did it because they could not find any Belizeans to volunteer to do it. But we still got in trouble but Mr woods got it straightened out for us.

I think the rationale is, if you work for "free" then the person you're working for doesn't have to hire a Belizean to do the job.

Its an old argument, its against the law, pay or no pay, but bottom line is as Debunk pointed out,'unless you make someone mad at you' and that going to a constant walk on eggs!

That's the whole basis I'm going on, I'm not taking any work from a belizean. I ran into that issue when I was living on ambergris and know that if I want to volunteer its gonna be me doing just that, giving my time and energy for "nothing".

Your visa states you cant work at all, even for nothing. Many folks ignore that and get away with it, and even work for something. Some get caught and then its spendy,and a bad trip.
